We went to the church here in Fengxian, Xuzhou yesterday. We talked to the pastor to book the church for the wedding. When we arrived at the church, the gate was closed, but it was unlocked. We went in hoping there was a security guard to ask where we could find the pastor. Short version, we found an open door, and it lead to the pastor’s office where we found him.
We talked to him for 30 minutes or so, and he was more than happy to let us use the church on Sunday, October 18. We asked him how much the church rental was, and he smiled, “Nothing at all. We are here to do services for the community, performing weddings is good for the community, so we do it for free.” This was a good bit of news for us. Also, it was a great statement about one of the missions of this church.
So, those who know us are invited to our wedding on October 18, 2015 here in Fengxian, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu, China. Here are the details.
